This particular wood rasp is the number one selling rasp in Japan, and is made with multiple saw blades joined together in a diamond configuration. This design configuration is one of the main features of this product, and is the reason this rasp is clog resistant.

Shinto Saw Rasp is a 9″ flat rasp made from 10 hardened teeth saw blades held together by rivets and features both coarse and fine sides with the teeth oriented to cut on the push stroke. The teeth are designed to help prevent clogging but also to be easily cleaned should the need arise. Suitable for any shaping task from rough to fine work. Good for ferrous and nonferrous metals, wood, veneer, laminates, soft plastics, gypsum-board, etc.
